WHY I LIKE IT: The “newest” kid on the block, contemporary and high-end Hotel Saint George opened in 2017, reborn as an incarnation of its historic former self. Originally built in 1886 and operating as a resting place for cowboys and railroad travelers until 1929, the current Hotel Saint George remains steeped in culture and history by design, incorporating elements reflective of present day Marfa thoughtfully repurposed for the modern traveler.
