FORT DAVIS DRUG STORE & HOTEL

WHY I LIKE IT: First opened in 1913, this historic drug store is now home to a 6-room hotel, restaurant, and fudge shop with an original 22 foot long soda fountain. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with eggs, biscuits, pancakes, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, and chicken fried chicken sandwiches on the menu. 

DON’T MISS THE: Blue Plate Specials (i.e., Mom’s Meatloaf, Fried Catfish with homemade hushpuppies) and an ice cream sundae or a banana split before heading out the door.

DON’T KILL MY VIBE: grab a seat on a round spinny stool and order up hand-stirred sodas and ice cream – all served with small-town charm.
