Davis Mountains State Park

DAVIS MOUNTAINS

STATE PARK

WHY I LIKE IT: Nestled in the foothills of Texas’ most extensive mountain range, Davis Mountains State Park sits in an unusual landscape. Camp, hike, mountain bike, bird watch, or even bring your horse for an overnight stay at Limpia Canyon Primitive Area – with 11 miles of trails leading up to a 5700 feet high scenic overlook. There’s even a hotel, Indian Lodge, in the park for visitors who want to stay overnight without having to camp.

DON’T MISS THE: beautiful scenic drive to the top for breathtaking views.

DON’T KILL MY VIBE: Experience the wild, wild West in all of its beauty.

WHEN YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW: Davis Mountains State Park also offers walks and programs on stargazing, birding, local history, geocaching and more.
